NINDS renewal grant awarded to Sheri Mizumori and the BRAINS team!

Sheri Mizumori and the BRAINS team recently received a $1.35M renewal grant from the National Institutes of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) to support the BRAINS Program (Broadening the Representation of Academic Investigators in NeuroScience) for another 5 years (2021-2026). This NINDS grant will enable BRAINS to expand its reach and impact on the careers of postdoctoral and pre-tenure underrepresented neuroscientists in critically important ways. The NINDS funding will further allow BRAINS to discover new insights regarding factors that support the retention of minoritized neuroscientists in their careers.
